Playful Colors

The trends for 2016 are all over the map. The one thing they all have in common—color. Color in fabrics. Color in clothing, furniture, floors and walls. Varying hues, from deep dark colors to chromatic brights are everywhere this year and well into the future.

Pantone, the acknowledged authority on colors has issued nine 2016 color palettes. Colors range from tones straight from nature to jewel tones, brights and seaside blues and greens. From floors to walls, indoors and out, the interaction of color, texture and pattern is uniquely stated with ceramic tile.

With finishes from glossy to mattes and velvets, tile creates the perfect background to showcase any palette imaginable. Combine dark, matte finish tile with brilliant color accents of reds, greens and yellows. Support seaside blues and greens with beachy beige and white tones.

The examples below showcase different 2016 color palettes. The first example includes a natural rose and grey tone. The second example includes a color similar to the warm rose clay from one of Pantone’s 2016 palettes.

The many color options make tile the perfect medium for creating focal point for an entire room. Vibrant or soft colors, glossy or matte, mosaic or slab tile, the options are endless. Consider tile the key color solution.
